Baltimore Hebrew Congregation
Chai Life

Chai Life is the social community for 20s & 30s, provided by Baltimore Hebrew Congregation. Year-round gatherings bring new and old friends together and welcome all 20s & 30s in the Baltimore community. Events are created by our Chai Life committee, a group of members who are in their 20s & 30s, leading Chai Life to build fun and meaningful shared experiences.

We come together for everything from Shabbat dinners to restaurant nights, trivia season, trips to the theater, social action, Orioles games and much more. Most events are in Baltimore City, though we occasionally gather in Northwest Baltimore, Towson and other areas. Our committee is always open to new ideas for events, as all events are planned by the committee.

BAYITT

BAYITT is a group of fun, progressive, smart, down-to-earth Jewish singles and couples in their 20’s and 30’s who want to create a friendly, urban Jewish community in Baltimore. We come together for Shabbat dinners, small learning circles,  social justice activities, volunteer opportunities, and for educational programs – and of course to eat, drink, and talk. Events center in Baltimore’s Reservoir Hill neighborhood (home to Beth Am) and throughout the downtown area.

Past events have included movie nights, summertime chill and grill, Torah on Tap (in partnership with Moishe House) bike rides, holiday meals, group dinners, volunteer projects and more.

If you are 21–39, friendly, welcoming, and interested in meeting other Beth Am members or just shul shopping…. this is the group for you — we can’t wait to meet you!

Privet! We are Gil and Lizzy (and yes, sometimes we go by Glizzy). At our pod, we like to make things

unique, inspiring, and fun! Get ready to travel around the world with us one Shabbat dinner at a time.

Otherwise, you might catch Gil playing volleyball on the beach or or Lizzy dancing at the ballroom swing.

Third Space at Shaarei Tfiloh
image_edited.jpg

We are about relationships and learning, and nurturing the two together.

Third Space is a place for meaningful community building, both local and Jewish. We intend it to be a container for creativity, collaboration, exploration, and discovery. We are committed to the vision of being shaarei – gateways in Hebrew – a hub for learning, connecting, and growing together. Whether it be in lectures, classes, workshops, musical concerts and performances, or other hands-on experiences, we will embrace curiosity, open-mindedness, and deep care. We hope those who come to Third Space will share these values and help us build something sacred together.

Third Space welcomes and celebrates the full tapestry of Jewish identities. It values diversity of thought, perspectives and backgrounds. It is a place we want to make sure each person who joins us will feel welcomed, seen, and accepted.

Jewish Museum of Baltimore

At the Jewish Museum of Maryland, our central charge is telling the story of Jewish Maryland and connecting people to Jewish experiences. The story of Jewish Maryland is deep, dynamic, fluid, and ongoing. We invite you to collaborate with us in the great task of telling this story.

Through generous capital investment, our Museum has been redesigned under the banner of “Building the Participatory Museum,” and that means transforming the relationship between the Museum and its audiences from presenter and viewer to collaborators and co-producers. We have redesigned the Museum’s architecture and updated its technologies to support a practice that prioritizes collaboration with community onsite and online.

The Jewish Museum of Maryland is embarking on the next era of its evolution from historical society to cultural center, and now: a fully formed 21st century museum. People hold a central position within our evolving practice. I invite you to join us in our work of enlivening the story of Jewish Maryland.
